Lisa's Story
Life
I went to Mt. Assisi Academy from '60 to half of '61, then we moved to Plainfield, I finished that year at Plainfield High, then a year at St. Francis Academy in Joliet, then my parents divorced and I moved to Vermont. Graduated 1963 from Edmunds High in Burlington, VT. then wound up in Waynesboro,VA by 1972. Still live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley,and married for 40 years to a wonderful man, have a 37 year old son. "All and all it's been a good life."

I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right, for awhile.
My first job was at Bishop DeGoesbriand Memorial Hospital, where I got paid $1.10 an hour to make beds, give back rubs, empty bed pans. What I remember most about it is the devoted sisters..
